Terminus Hotel Fitzroy North

Meet the Crew: Mitch

Get to know the Termi team, so next time you come in you can say hello by name and scare ‘em!

This month, it’s one of the bar managers.

Name: Mitch

Role: Bar supervisor

About Mitch: If you’ve had a beer at the Terminus more than once, you’ve probably seen Mitch’s face. In fact, we’re pretty sure he lives downstairs in the cellar.

When he’s not working here, you can usually find him trying all the new beers at other beer joints around town so he knows which delicious thing to order in for the bar next.

Mitch, you’re doing the Lord’s work, and we salute you.

Go-to knockoff? Trying all the new things on tap, because he’s usually the one who ordered the keg!

Beer of the Month: Boatrocker Stout

We have a constantly rotating tap lineup at the Termi, as well as a massive selection of Australian wines and craft spirits. Each month, we’ll be letting you know about one that is sure to knock your socks off.

You can think of the Boatrocker Stout as the non-barrel aged baby brother of their cult favourite Ramjet. Full in body with plenty of chocolate and coffee notes, this Stout will keep you warm all the way through winter, and goes perfectly with one of our steaks or our chocolate délice dessert with poached rhubarb.

Meet the Crew: Damon

Each month, we’re going to introduce one of the Termi team so you get to know just who makes the Terminus what it is.

First up, it’s Damon.

Role: Head Chef

About Damon: Damon’s been managing the Terminus kitchen for the last couple of years, off the back of more than a decade in the hospitality industry.

You can thank Damon for all those menu favourites, from the haloumi chips to the half chicken, and has been known to create insane beer and food matches, including cutlery made out of pork crackling!

Go-to knockoff: Stone & Wood Pacific Ale – can’t go wrong.

Upcoming Events at the Termi

In case you haven’t noticed, winter has well and truly descended upon Melbourne, bringing with it the need for extra layers, AFL, and plenty of dark beer releases.

Here at the Termi we’ve got you well stocked on the second two, and our dinner menu can provide the extra layer in the form of steaks, parmas and roast chicken. For all the happenings at the Termi this June, check out the upcoming events below!

9 – 12 June

It’s time to give thanks to the old girl over in Blighty, with a Queens Birthday weekend celebration from 9-12 June, featuring tap beers from UK breweries including Beavertown, Magic Rock, BrewDog and Tiny Rebel, as well as plenty of UK bottle beers, food specials and playlists all weekend. It’s safe to say that Queen might make an appearance!

Saturday 24 June

New England IPAs have made a massive impact on Australia’s beer scene recently, and our mates at CoConspirators Brewing are now adding one to their arsenal. The Matriarch is their twist on a New England IPA, and will be tapped up on Saturday 24 June alongside The Bookie pale ale, The Butcher red IPA, The Beancounter coffee porter, and their GABS release, Rumball In The Jungle rum and coconut porter.

Head down for a meet the brewer session at 4pm, try the beers, and the food specials matched to The Matriarch!
